I listen a story and I have a question. If you know the answer, please tell me the answer.

Bernard lives on the twenty-second floor of a huge apartment building. Every morning he leaves his apartment, gets into the elevator, travels to the first floor and goes to work. In the evening he comes home, gets into the elevator on the first floor, travels to the fourteen floor, gets out of the elevator and walks up the stairs to his apartment on the twenty-second floor. He does this every evening. Why?

I think that answer with my class member but we can’t find this answer. So I want to know the answer!!!

Ru and Patty are both students at the University of California. They don’t know each other. They live in Berkeley, and have their own apartments. Lou lives in San Francisco. He is Ru ‘s boyfriend. Ru and Lou don’t have a good relationship. Patty’s father is rich. Patty was kidnapped because the radicals want money for political purposes. She was kidnapped from her apartment and taken to San Francisco. The radicals then hired Lou to drive them to Los Angeles. Lou didn’t know about the kidnapping. He didn’t know the radicals or Patty. When they arrived in Los Angeles, the radicals paid Lou the taxi fare, and gave him a big tip. Lou now had a lot of money, so he decided to take a vacation in Palm Springs, which is near Los Angeles. He telephoned Ru from Los Angeles and told her his plans. She was very sad when he said that he was going to take a vacation without her. Last night, after the telephone call, Ru drank too much and got very drunk. This morning she woke up with a terrible hangover, so she is drinking orange juice. Patty and the radicals are now robbing a bank in Los Angeles. The radicals need money, and have threatened to kill Patty if she doesn’t cooperate. They want to prove to the world that she is still alive.

This story is real. I can’t understand it when I listen this story at first. This story is very difficult for me. Why Patty robbing a bank? I can’t understand! Her father is rich!

January 10

This day was Coming of Age Day so I have to wake up at very early! I woke up at 3 a.m. Because I have to go beauty salon and dressing to hair make and dressing! I was so sleepy zzz. After I finished hair make and dressing, I went to home and I make up my face. In the morning, I went to my grandparents for my mother side to show my long-sleeved kimono. They were please. Next I show my childhood friend my long-sleeved kimono. I went to meeting place and I met a lot of friend and I took a lot of picture with my friends. I could meet my old friend and I felt good old. It was very happy and interesting! When the ceremony finished, I went to my part-time job place to show my long-sleeved with my friend. Then they present me a dessert and powder green tea. It was very delicious! Next we went to downtown to take a print club stickers. At night I took part in alumni association on junior high school member. There were very good old and very fun! Our teacher took part in it! I could talk a lot of things were good. It was very very interesting so I took part in post-party party. It was interesting too. If it take place again, I want to take part in it!! Junior high school’s alumni association was very interesting so I want to take place elementary school’s alumni association too! This day was very good memory. Today’s picture are my treasure.

Soccer day

Today’s soccer game was very interesting! Did you watch it? If you didn’t watch it, you loss a lot of thing!! I always watch a soccer game with my family because my brothers play soccer so we like soccer! Today’s soccer was very exciting so I shouted and cheered with my family all time. January 1

I met my cousin, aunt, uncle and my grandparent on my father’s side. We meet, have lunch and visit to a shrine on new year’s day every year. This day’s lunch was Sushi and Osechi. I like Sushi! I find a Karashi rennkon in Osechi. Do you know it? Karashi rennkonn is a Kumamoto’s local dish. It is spicy a little but taste is good so I like it. I ate a lot of kind Sushi for example bream, tuna, cuttlefish, octopus, salmon and etc. There were very very delicious! I want to eat again. After that we went to Kengun shrine. We go to Izumi shrine every year but this year is not. Because my cousin works in Kengun shrine so we want to see her. We paid homage at a shrine, met her and took a picture. We went to home and my family drives to Dazaifu at night. Because my younger brother is candidate. At first we use high way but on the way the high way Yame-Dazaifu was prohibition for heavy snowfall. So we had to go local way. If we can go to Dazaif on high way, we arrive at 10 o’clock but in fact we arrived at 11 and half. We paid homage ad a shrine and we bought talisman and we drew a fortune slip. We went to home and we arrived to home at 2 o’clock, so we were very sleepy.

The elves happy but they don’t come store again. Instead the shoemaker becomes king’s favorite shoes so he is happy.

Thanks is very important. Always we have to have thanks feelings. So we will surely become good things.

So, the gingerbread man climbed up the fox, and climbed up the fox’s nose. At that time, the fox ate a gingerbread man.

The fox is sharp. The gingerbread man didn’t have a luck.

Children pulled off their jumpers and a boy just grabbed the jumpers and threw them into the middle of road. They watched with popping eyes as the piano thundered down the road. One of the piano wheels hit the pile of jumpers. The wheel jammed as one jumper was dragged round and round and the piano lumbered across the road. The piano skidded to one side and came to a stop.

A lot of scuffling and squeaking was going on in a hamster‘s cage. They put on the light and they peered into the cage. A hamster is lying on his side so they think a hamster died. In fact a hamster didn’t die she has babies. Next day, they build a hamster extension in a room.

I want to build a new room because my room is very small but I live there with my family there are 6 people. It is too small for us so I want to get some rooms.

He met a fairy and he was bewitched by her. One day he went home but Mr. Gepetto left home. Mr. Gepetto look for Pinocchio and he went to the sea but he was eaten a shark and the other day Pinocchio sent to shark’s mouth. They can meet again and escape from the shark’s stomach and they went home again. That night, the fairy appeared to Pinocchio in a dream and she kissed him. Pinocchio woke up and surprise! Because he become real boy! Pinocchio and Mr. Gepetto cry and joy.

I read at first, I didn’t like Pinocchio because he was not good boy. But at last, he became brave boy. I was very happy because he can become a real boy.

BR2-01: Gulliver's Travels

Lemuel Gulliver loved to travel and he loved adventures.
He boarded a ship for the Far East. The voyage was a difficult and dangerous one. Some tried to escape in a small boat but it capsized and they all drowned except for Gulliver. He stumbled ashore and collapsed on the beach and he was asleep. When he woke up, he couldn't move because he was tied to the ground. He was just as amazed because there’s people are very small. It was like a toy town. He has to spend for sometime in there because the emperor said “Let’s keep him.” But he wants to free so he pleaded to the emperor “Please set me free.” He was free but few days. One day he leave the country and he was picked up by the ship. The captain asked him “where have you come from?” Gulliver answered and he show small animals to the captain. So the captain was astonished. The captain agreed to take Gulliver all the way home.

Its story is very interesting. I have read before in Japanese. This story is impossible but if exist the country, I want to see it but I want not to go there because I want to free!

My Favorite comic

I often read comic books. I love comic books. When I was junior high school student, I used my pocket money for comic books and I have more than one-hundred comic books. Of course I read girl’s comic books but I read boy’s comic books too. My favorite girl’s comic book is “Kiminitodoke” It is very interesting, sad, cute and beat my heart! I want to love someone as convenience as it. My favorite boy’s comic book is “ONE PIECE”. Do you know it? It is so interesting!! I watch its animated cartoon. It is interesting too. It has gag element and emotion element. Sometimes I cry because I was impressed by the story. I want every people to read this book. If who didn’t read before, it is big loss.

Essay 2-03b: My School Life Now and Future

Last year, I entered Kumamoto Gakuen University of English department. I wavered in English department or social welfare department when I was high school student. I took both entrance exam and I passed both department but I choose English department. Because I like English and it is high level in Kumamoto Gakuen University.

First year, I always confused a lot of things. For example lesson's system, lesson's composition, university's facility, layout etcetera. I choose my lesson with my friends so I always same friends. And now, I always same friend too! I like them so much. They are very interesting and reliable. If I didn't make friends with them I can't enjoy my school life. We met first time in Freshman camp. We eat bedtime snack "rice ball" so our member's group name is team rice ball! We are 7 members. Half members are in 1 class and other half members are in 2 class.


I study teaching course now. I try study it last year because my mother’s advice. But I don’t want to become teacher because I can’t study English perfect so I think I can’t teach it other people. When I was high school student, I want to try to study teaching course little. Last year, I study it and I noticed “I can’t teach English for student” So I want to retire teaching course but I can’t retire it by my mother. I won’t to go practice teaching! So I want to retire it!! But maybe I have to continue it so please tell me its interesting things!!

At first year, I hardly ate lunch at school restaurant but this year I often eat lunch at there. School restaurant is very cheap and good taste. So I like it. My favorite menu is Sutadon. It is in Higawaridon’s Tuesday’s menu. I always eat it on Tuesday but others day I eat cutlet curry or cutlet rice. There are good taste too. We eat lunch in school restaurant everyday and if we have box lunch too. When we have free time, we always talking at school restaurant. Summer day, school restaurant sells start ice-cream cone. It is delicious and cheap! I eat it three times a week. Now, there sells start Oden. It is delicious and cheap too!

I belong to badminton club. At first, I didn’t think I belong to it because I didn’t want to play badminton so hard. But my senior and friend belong to it so I was persuaded to enter the badminton club by them. I can’t adapt myself to club and club’s members. But sometime I can open out to them so I was enjoy to go practice. I belong to Syodo club at same time but I retire it because I enjoy badminton club better than Syodo club. Now, I go practice everyday and I enjoy it. Our grade will become officer so I am tense up! Badminton club has away games five times a year. Its length is about a week each time. I have been to Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Oita and Saga. We always use our car. When the away games, we can become good relation. Badminton is interesting but I am very weak so I wasn’t chosen at team competition. So I want not to watch my games.

I will continue study English when I graduate the university. I will continue play badminton when I graduate the university. I want to go anyplace with class members or club members and I want to make a lot of good memories. I will have to study English and teaching so hard!!
